Within a five minute walk of Predela 2 there is the hugely popular ‘Victoria’ restaurant which while very new is also very atmospheric (my picture doesn’t do it justice!) and welcomes families while not losing its intimacy for those of you wishing for something a little more romantic.
A bowl of home made soup and crusty bread is only €3.50 EUR in the restaurant at the top of the Gondola lift - perfect fuel for a cold day's skiing! Expect to pay quite a bit more for meat / chips / pizza, or other meals. Carrying drinks / snacks up with you can save you quite a bit, but the value of having a sit down in a warm restaurant / bar should not be underestimated.
The local house or home made wines are generally good so don't move to more expensive bottles before you've tried them!
Head to the Diamonds pub in Glazne street, opposite Evelina Palace. They have Kids menu, free shots, Happy hour and 1/2 price on drinks during football until the 1st goal!Try the local vodka like Savoy and Flirt, it's almost the same quality as Russian vodkas or Absolut, but it's much cheaper.
Whilst bars and restaurants may stock imported drinks such as Guinness & Gordon's gin, the local brands are far better value, like a pint of Kamenitza and Zagorka is about €1.50 EUR only. Pirinsko beer at Mountain Fishing restaurant is 1.40 levs. That is about €0.75 EUR - 70p GBP. Elizabeth's pub has 2 for 1 drinks from 5pm - 7pm.
